Due to the ever-increasing worldwide popularity of our products, and a small team of workers, orders will take anywhere up to 7 days to be dispatched. Please order with plenty of time! Our delivery times are not guaranteed, we are not responsible for anybody's lack of organisation or for you missing Uncle Dick's birthday, nor are we responsible for Royal Mail delays. Again, please order with plenty of time!

We do not queue-jump orders. Orders are processed in order of receipt. We are not obliged to answer silly emails. We don't have the time nor the patience. Basics are:

You place your order and we send it within the timeframes set out above. If your goods have not arrived within 14 days of ordering (UK customers) or 28 days (international customers), contact us at info@cakeymakey.co.uk and we'll chase your order.

All Cakey Makey products are supplied under the Distance Selling Regulations. We are therefore legally entitled to take up to 30 days to supply goods.

Rude, insulting, unintelligent or threatening faceless emails are not welcome nor are timewasters. If we have refused to supply you or your business, it is with good reason.

If you want to return something, goods must be returned in their original, unopened, not-fiddled-with condition within 7 days of receipt. Food products are non-returnable for food safety reasons. This does not affect your statutory rights. Goods must reach us in pristine condition to be eligible for a refund. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the safe return of goods. Goods that reach us in poor condition (i.e. unsaleable) will not be refunded and will be returned to you via bog-standard post.

Parcels to UK destinations

Will be sent via Royal Mail First Class Recorded Delivery. Royal Mail aim to deliver such parcels within one to two working days after posting (although this is not guaranteed.) All parcels will require a signature upon delivery.

Postage and packaging fees are now calculated by total order weight.

We no longer offer a next day delivery service.


Parcels to Europe & Rest of the World

Will be sent via Royal Mail International Signed For and will require a signature upon delivery. Royal Mail aim to deliver to Western Europe within three working days, Eastern Europe within four working days and the Rest of the World within five working days, from the day of posting.

 

 

Attention: UK & International Customers

Please note that all parcels will require a signature upon delivery. If you are not in to sign for your parcel, the postman will return your parcel to your local sorting office for you to collect or arrange redelivery. Occasionally, the postman may have tried to deliver your parcel but failed to leave a "We Tried To Deliver" card. In the first instance, please contact your local sorting office should your parcel be delayed.

IMPORTANT: Please be aware that Royal Mail will hold such parcels for only seven days before returning them to us. Once your parcel has entered the "Return to Sender" process it can take several weeks to get back to us and will no longer be trackable. Please be patient, should this happen. Under no circumstances will any refunds be given before such parcels have arrived at our door. We will contact you as soon as we receive your returned parcel to arrange re-delivery or a refund. Where the customer is at fault for not collecting their parcel from Royal Mail within the seven days, we will not refund the P&P charge paid at the time of ordering.

Delivery times depend on Royal Mail/international postal services.


Out of Stock Items

We aim to keep our stock levels as accurate as possible but sometimes we may find that we are out of stock of an item. Should this be the case, we will give a full refund for that item.

 

Damaged or Faulty Items

We want you to be happy with your purchase so, should any of our items fail to meet your expectations, please contact us at info@cakeymakey.co.uk within 7 days for an exchange or refund.

Please note that food items are non returnable for food safety reasons.



Returns

In the unlikely event that your purchase is found to be unsuitable and you would like to return it, goods may be returned under the Distance Selling Regulations, within 7 days of receipt. They must be returned in their original, unopened packaging and in unused, resaleable condition. Please note that for food safety reasons, food items are non returnable. This does not affect your statutory rights.

The original receipt or a photocopy thereof must accompany any returned goods. We cannot process a refund without a receipt. Please mark the items returned on the receipt and state reason for return.

Should you choose to return any goods, you are responsible for ensuring their safe return. We highly recommend that you obtain a free proof of posting from the Post Office when returning items as we cannot be held responsible for any lost or damaged items. All costs associated with returning items must be met by you, the customer, unless goods are faulty. In these instances we will refund the cost of the return postage.

International customers, please ensure returned parcels can be tracked throughout their journey and proof of posting must be obtained.



Lost or Damaged Parcels: UK

Lost or damaged items will be refunded or replaced only after a Royal Mail compensation claim has been completed and only if Royal Mail agree that that the parcel is considered lost or damaged. Royal Mail do not consider an item lost until 15 working days have elapsed from the due date of delivery. No refunds or replacements for lost or damaged parcels will be issued until a satisfactory compensation claim has been made with Royal Mail.


Lost or damaged parcels: Europe & Rest of the World

For Europe, Royal Mail do not consider a parcel lost until 20 working days have elapsed from the due date of delivery. For the Rest of the World, Royal Mail do not consider a parcel lost until 25 working days have elapsed from the due date of delivery. No claims for compensation from Royal Mail can be submitted before these times.

 

Payment

Secure online payment via credit or debit card is taken via Paypal. You can also pay via your Paypal account although you do not need a Paypal account to shop at Cakey Makey.

We do not currently accept any other form of payment.

We never see any of your payment details nor will your payment details be kept on our system.

Should you experience any problems with payment, please contact us. It helps if you tell us what sort of trouble you're experiencing. We can usually get around payment problems by invoicing you via Paypal.

If you don't have a Paypal account, are trying to pay with a credit/debit/business card and are experiencing problems with payment, you might have used-up your ten "Paypal Optional" lives (see below). Or it could be that the card you are using is linked to another Paypal account. Paypal recognises this and requires that you log-in to that account. Again, we may be able to get around these issues by sending an invoice to an alternative email address. Should you continue to experience problems, please contact Paypal.

WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY SET-UP TO TAKE TELEPHONE PAYMENTS-PAYMENT CAN BE TAKEN ONLINE ONLY.

In all cases, please be sure to paste a copy of your order when contacting us about payment problems. (It'll speed things up!) We will forward a Paypal invoice to the email address supplied.

 

Customers without a Paypal Account

 

Your payment will be processed by Paypal under the rules of "Paypal Account Optional". You will only be able to use PayPal via PayPal Account Optional for up to 10 transactions before you will be required to open a PayPal account with PPEL to enable further use of the PayPal system. Please read the important information below on how your payment is processed.

1. PayPal's Account Optional service is provided by PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. & Cie, S.C.A. which is authorised and regulated by the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier in Luxemburg.

2. When you use your credit or debit card to purchase goods or services from an on-line merchant via PayPal Account Optional, a sum of electronic money equivalent to the amount of the purchase you are making is issued by PayPal and credited to the merchant's PayPal account as payment for the goods or services you are purchasing from him. Your credit or debit card is therefore being used for the purchase of an amount of e-money which is in turn being used as payment for the goods or services from the merchant. Your credit or debit card statement will therefore show PayPal as the merchant and not the merchant from whom you are purchasing the goods or services.

3. PayPal will not open a PayPal account for you when you use your credit or debit card with PayPal Account Optional. Your use of the PayPal system via PayPal Account Optional is a one-off transaction only. However, PayPal will retain the information you provide us in relation to your use of PayPal Account Optional in accordance with our Privacy Policy in order to (1) enable you to use PayPal Account Optional for further one-off transactions subject to paragraph 4, (2) to enable us to monitor the use of PayPal Account Optional for risk management purposes and (3) to make it easier for you to open a PayPal account in the future.

4. You will only be able to use PayPal via PayPal Account Optional for up to [10] transactions before we will require you to open a PayPal account with PPEL to enable further use of the PayPal system. At that point you will be required to enter into our standard user agreement to govern the ongoing relationship with PayPal.


5. You should note that your use of PayPal Account Optional does not entitle you to the usual benefits of having a PayPal account. You will not be eligible to take advantage of our Buyer Complaint Policy or any other policies incorporated into the user agreement which we offer to give you protection. You may have additional rights through your agreement with your credit or debit card issuer.
